Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question not answered here? Reach out — I'm happy to help.

What can I expect in a first session?

The first session is an intake session — it’s a bit more structured than ongoing sessions. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, talking about what brings you to therapy, and beginning to build a treatment plan together that reflects your goals and needs. It’s also a chance for you to ask questions and get a feel for how we work together.

How does telehealth work?

Sessions are held via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. All you need is a private space, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone. You'll receive a link before each session — just click to join at your appointment time.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes — I accept several major insurance plans. For specific questions about your coverage, feel free to reach out directly.

What languages are sessions available in?

I offer therapy sessions in both English and Portuguese. Se você prefere sessões em português, visite a página Em Português para mais informações.

Who do you work with?

I work with teens, young adults, adults, families, and parents. I offer individual therapy, family therapy sessions, and parenting skills support.

How do I get started?
