How I Work

Art Therapy

Art Therapy uses creative expression — drawing, painting, collage, and other media — as a pathway to explore feelings that may be hard to put into words. It offers a gentle, non-verbal way to process experiences, uncover insights, and build self-awareness.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns. By understanding the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, clients develop practical coping strategies for everyday challenges.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative conversation style that strengthens a person's own motivation for change. It respects your autonomy and helps you explore ambivalence, clarify your values, and build confidence in making meaningful life changes.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS views the mind as naturally made up of multiple parts — each with its own perspective and feelings. By building a compassionate relationship with these inner parts, clients develop greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and emotional balance. Julia is a Level 1 Certified IFS Practitioner.

Family Therapy

Family Therapy brings multiple family members together in a shared space to improve communication, navigate conflict, and strengthen relationships. Sessions focus on understanding each person's experience and building healthier patterns of connection within the family system.

Parenting Skills

Parenting Skills sessions are designed for parents looking to develop more effective strategies, better understand their child's behavior, and build a stronger, more connected relationship with their child. Sessions provide practical tools alongside a space for reflection and support.

All sessions are held via secure video call, so you can connect from wherever feels most comfortable for you. Sessions are available in English and Portuguese.
